First Build - Factory Cart Coffee Table

Hello all,

This is my first post and my first build with much more to come, I can't return the tools now anyway.

I built the factory cart coffee table. My first time truly working with power tools, though I had the wood cut at Home Depot, I think it came out really well. I ran into a few bumps in the road, I originally saw this table on HGTV's website, searched for it to later find a different build plan on Ana's site. So maybe that's where the problem came in. The supports were the same length as the ends, so I had to use the jigsaw to attempt to cut a few 8ths off. But I was left with more of a jagged line than a straight line, you'll notice in one of the pictures how it came out. I couldn't the top boards to lay down flat so some of them are a little higher than others, but it took to the paint job well. I also had to do some major sanding of course, just to round off the edges a lil, and smooth it out.

To finish it, I used a porcelain crackle paint technique from Valspar and rubbed in their antiquing glaze. A couple of clear protection coats, and there you go.

Any further suggestions moving forward, is definitely welcomed. Thanks.
