Mom's Fancy Farmhouse in California King, Glazed.

I used the headboard measurements from the original plan, and the width/length measurements from the California King plan. My first plan was to distress (above picture) and I loved it, but when I brought it downstairs it didnt really match... So I repainted and Glazed :) Not to bad for buying my first "power tool" less than a month ago!!

Made by my husband for our 3 year old daughter's first "big girl" bed. We love this bed!

I saw a post on Fixthisbuildthat.com about making wall art.  It looked super cool so I thought i would give it a shot.  My wife loved the first one so I made two more per her request.  These are pretty easy to do if you have a table saw and a miter saw.

I didn't use any plans but the Outdoor Ottoman comes really close. Needed an end table to go with our Outdoor Sectional that my husband and I built. While he was at a ballgame I whipped this up. Still have to sand and stain this as well as the sectional, but will probably do it as a winter project. We bought the 1x4s a while ago when we bought the 2x4s for the sectional so I wasn't exactly sure of the cost. I think I used 2 1/2 pieces of 8' lengths. Who would have thought a couple of years ago that so many of us would have attempted to build furniture and then even without a plan now and then?! Ana rocks! :)

My patio was bare. (see boring before picture). So, I made this bench and wiped out a garden sale at Joann's, and now I'm SUPER excited about how it turned out! Really simple and straight-forward build, but this one was pretty hard to make by myself because it is super heavy! Nonetheless, I managed on my own, and I'm not the strongest person around, so that goes to show you that you can do it as a 1(wo)man show. Love this bench! Thanks Ana!!

I used the plans to build my island, but I'm using it more like an extra counter. I reduced the depth by about 4 inches so it would fit in the space better. I did all my cuts with a circular saw, and I can recommend using a table saw and/or chop saw to get straighter cuts. The gem of the island is the concrete countertop. I poured 2 bags of concrete reinforced by rebar, darkened with a charcoal colorant. This was an experiment to see if concrete countertops would work for our whole kitchen. Success! 

After the high of finishing my first build (http://ana-white.com/2012/08/farmhouse-table-rustic-table), I was quick to find my next fix. My mom was so impressed with the table, she trusted me to build her another piece of furniture for our very empty new home. She liked the look of this coffee table, so I adjusted the dimensions to meet her needs and away I went. It was pretty fun and not too difficult. It was a little more time consuming that I had anticipated, but that was mostly due to the two different finishes on the legs/apron and the top.

Wanted to kick start my summer projects with something that would not take too long. So I built this picnic bench for a friend over the last weekend. Thank you Ana for the plans.

Tables for my unhealthy sewing machine habit. :)

This was a fantastic project. I ended up replacing the admittedly flimsy top with six 2x4s topped off with some surprisingly expensive thin plywood.

Used the Kreg Jig for the table top. I followed Ana White's Youtube Video "How to Build a Tabletop" for instructions on how to do it. 

Weeklong project for all three. Started on a Saturday and had it in the dining room and eating a meal the next Saturday!

My first project!

This was my first real woodworking project done by myself and I'm pretty excited about the results!

I spent about 2 weeks off and on working on this project. I was happy with the outcome. It was a project for my daughter for her 23rd birthday. She loved it! Thank you for the plans!

Coffe table for our living room. Really fit our style. I had problem cutting the plywood but i turned out great. I love the colour: Varathane early american.
