Selling Furniture

Hi all!!
I was just wondering if anyone was selling furniture they have made? I was thinking about making some things and trying to sell them. I'm not interested in making millions...nor am I master carpenter....I would just like to make a few things to sell to people who maybe can't build but want something different. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks everybody!!

I think you will find that once you start building some things, that you will get requests all the time! I have a "list" of things that people want, it is just finding the time to do it. If I build something for family or friends, I charge them for materials of course, and then do a modest charge on top of that. If you are building for a customer, you need to determine what your time is worth. I factor in $15-20 per hour in the overall price and estimate how much time it will take me to do it. Maybe you can make a website?

And post pictures of what you have made, with your "retail price" which would include materials price and some extra for your time.

You can link it to your Facebook and/or twitter (if your into that) and definitely get an http://www.etsy.com/ account!

i'm sure people will start asking for them right away, especially if you allow for costumization of those things your selling.

I know a lot of people that would buy costume bed frames, if they got to choose the material and color and such.
