Hubby and I are venturing and building a bench for our mud room area. We are building the bench out of MDF 3/4. What type of screw should we use, wood, sheetrock or sheet metal screws? Coarse or fine thread? We have been doing our research with a couple of people from home depot...and their responses are different. One person told us to go with the coarse thread with a straight shank, and to pre-drill and countersink for flush head.
What do you guys recommend?
