Hi there!  It's almost Christmas!  Are you ready?

I'll be in the garage a good part of today finishing up gifts.  Just because there's only two days left until Christmas, doesn't mean you can still make a few handmade wood gifts to delight your friends and family - and your wallet.

Today I though I'd share some amazing gifts that you can make quickly, and most are out of scrap wood - so no need to even go pick up new materials or spend tons of money!

DIY Cheese Board Hostess Gift - How simple and beautiful is this diy cheeseboard with chalkboard center?  Pretties for Pennies shares the easy tutorial to make this wood cheeseboard for about $10.  You could cut that budget in half if you have door pulls or use rope for the handles too.  Just add your favorite cheeses and take to your next Christmas party!

DIY Barnwood Clip Frames - The perfect gift for family members!  These beautiful photo frames only cost about $7 each - and would burn up a ton of scraps if you have them.  My friends at Shanty2Chic have the full tutorial, including the finish, so hop on over and make these photo frames!

Beautiful Wine Bottle Rack for the Wine Lover - How gorgeous is this wood and rope wine bottle rack?  The tutorial is super easy and you can make it with just a scrap piece of wood and some rope.  Shared by Cambria Wines, tutorial here.

Rustic DIY Wood Beer Bottle Holder - Turn a six pack of beer (or your favorite bottled beverage) into a beautiful gift when given in this beautiful wood beer bottle holder with opener on the side.  Awesome plans by Rogue Engineer.

Simple DIY Wood Box Centerpiece - This simple wood box centerpiece is lovely and would be cherished by most anyone.  For the Holidays, fill with gourmet meats, cheeses, crackers or fruits, or Christmas florals.  Easy tutorial by Love Grows Wild.

DIY Wood Tray - I love wood trays.  They are so useful and beautiful and are like files for your life.  You can sort different things into the trays to make your life more beautiful and organized.  I especially love Liz Marie's coffee service tray.  You can build this too with Liz's great tutorial here.

DIY Family Tree Sign - Just use a cleat on the back to nail a bunch of boards together.  Then paint the tree trunk and use a sponge cut into a leaf shape to make all the leaves.  Easier than pie!  Project built by sjonathan and designed by me - grab the tutorial here.

DIY Wood Tablet or Ipad Stand - I love how simple and beautiful this ipad or tablet stand made by The Artful Desperado is!  You'll just need a few pieces of scrap wood to make this one!  Perfect for the kitchen countertop for recipes, or on a nightstand while charging or enjoying your favorite YouTube Channel ;) . Check out the full tutorial here.

Scrap wood Cars and Trucks - You can delight even the smallest loved one with these DIY wood cars and trucks made from scrap wood pieces.  I love this one made by Handmade with Ashley, and you can grab the full plans with templates from me and That's My Letter here.

DIY Wood Crayon Holder - all you'll need is some 1x3 scraps to mkae this beautiful wood crayon holder!  I put this tutorial together with That's My Letter for our Handbuilt Holiday series.

These ten projects are just a few of my favorites.  You can check out dozens more in our scrap wood section and under $20 section of plans.

Hopefully I've lost you to an amazing project, but if I haven't, thank you!  And please do share when you build, we'd love to see how your projects turn out too!

Have the happiest handmade Holiday!

XO Ana
