This simple to build desktop ties in bases from the Classic Collection to turn two bookshelves into a useable desk. Special thanks to Amy for sharing her desk that she built with a hammer and nails!

Preparation
Since this desktop requires additional plans, please check the cut list for materials you need. You most likely have the scraps already!
A) 1 – 1×24 @ 28″ (Desktop)
B) 2 – 1×2 @ 23 1/2″ (Sides)
C) 2 – 1×2 @ 26 1/2″ (Front and Back Supports)
D) 2 – 1×2 @ 28″ (Front Apron and Front Edge)

You know the drill, be safe, work on a clean level surface, use glue, check for square, predrill and countersink your screws, be careful about fastening to close to edges when working with MDF. If you are building this, you have built the file cabinets, so no need to re-educate you here.

Ana! These plans are
Ana!
These plans are fantastic, I'm so excited to build a whole plethora of logan pieces! Were there plans that I missed for converting the shelves/hutches into the ones with glass doors?
Thanks for all your hard work!!! you rock :)

Ana,When I was looking at
Ana,
When I was looking at this plan, I would say that it may be a better idea to put the big piece of plyboard as in the logan pic and add bracing in the middle to help slot it into your desk. Either that or put a 3mm thick sheet on top of your desk afterwards. It hides the line inbetween the desks and the cabinets.
This site is awesome by the way, im loving it.

This was the first plan of
This was the first plan of Ana's that I've made. For those who lack power tools but still want to build with plywood . . . a lumberyard cut the top, and I used a manual miter box for the 1 x 2s. (The only "power tools" I needed were a belt sander and orbital sander to shave a bit off the front edge piece so that it was even with the plywood; and a drill (see below).)
I predrilled holes along each side before painting, so that it will be easier to put the screws in without ruining the paint job in the future when the filing cabinets are done.
This was very easy to do and would be a great first project for anyone who is just starting out! :)
