My first Build - Sawhorse Table

This is my very first build and the plans came from Ana White. Spent about $100 on materials and well worth it. What a beautiful table and we could not be happier on this build. Although this is consider a beginners skill level, this is not a walk in the park, especially if working on your own. It is hard work and dedication is essential. In between spending time with family, playing with my kids, and Walking Dead marathon, I am pleased with how fast I was able to finish this project. I worked on it a little each day after work for a week and a full weekend. The first day working on the first leg was the hardest and had to overcome a learning curve. I had to get used to utilizing all the tools. Never heard of an off square cut before. Cuts were not straight, measurements were little off, and realize that not all lumber are made equal. As I got passed that and made some adjustments, everything was a breeze and the plans are pretty accurate. First time ever used a Kreg pocket hole tool and it was great and easy. Food for thought, do not skim on sanding, not even on the legs. I did and realize that it was not a good idea. I did not sand the legs as I thought since it would be a dark color, any imperfections would be covered up. Boy was I wrong. Lack of sanding the legs became an issue when I stained them. They did not go on easily as there were uneven little holes in the wood. End of the day, really happy with the outcome. We would be able to enjoy this heavy duty outdoor table for years to come on our many bbq gatherings.

So happy you posted this. I have been eyeing this table for a while, but since I've never built anything I figured I'd never be able to make this. You've inspired me to give it a try. Thank you! And great job - your table looks beautiful!
