I made this Farmer's Potting Bench at the request of my middle school granddaughter, who has become fascinated with agriculture. The bench is shown here staged, just prior to delivering it. The underside shows how the bench top and lower storage shelf topside pieces were attached. After applying 6 coats of Total Boat Halcyon varnish to each of those pieces...I was not about to use topside fasteners.
