More free furniture

The final chapter in the "crap my roommate moved out and took all the furniture leaving the house to look bare and I'm having people over in two weeks while also work every single day until than" leads us to my entryway bench/table.

Originally the 4X4 legs on this were going to be the legs for another arm chair. However, I decided that there wasn't room for that so i decided I needed a place to kick my shoes on and off. Unfortunately, I didn't think to shorten the legs from "arm height" to "bench height" so it wound up a bit tall. The good news is I can still sit on it easy enough and it's also perfect for setting groceries and the such on as I come in the door. All's well that ends well.

I also was originally going to top it with a patchwork of scrap wood bits, that wound up being too time consuming with my limited schedule though. While looking around the basement I saw what appear to be the old kitchen cabinets that were moved to the basement during a remodel. So pretty much a quick wipe down with some 409 and I figured "that'll do."

I listed the project for this as the Tryde console because the lower half pretty much follows those lines.

Oh, and of course the rest is pallet wood. If you've seen my other projects that isn't much of a shocker.
