Reclaimed Wood Headboard Design

Thanks Ana for sharing this great & easy design. A new "Mom & Pop" specialty rough cut lumber yard just opened in town so I wanted to try to support them on their new adventure. My wife & I needed a headboard so this design really hit the spot.

I used both cherry and a curly maple as the two types of wood. Because everything is rough cut, it is much less expensive. Just run the boards through a planner and an edger and your all set.

I applied several coats of a clear hand rubber varnish for the finish. This really made grains "pop".

Everything was quick and easy. We couldn't be happier.
