Single Lounger for the Simple Modern Outdoor Collection

We made 2 single loungers for our back yard. It took about 1.5 hours each of them to build them.

We have a large family, so we put 2 extra legs on each, just in case. We had problems with the hinges. I think we bought 3 or 4 different hinges before we found something that worked for us. But the end result was wonderful!

do you happen to have the info on the hinges that worked for you? Also, have you found affordable cushions?

Oh, the hinges! What a pain they are to work with. We wound up using what is called a "continuous hinge". It is a long solid hinge with lots of screws, like this one:

May have been overkill, but we wanted to make sure the loungers last.

we bought our cushions from Lowes. They were $45 each, but I was able to put them on 18 months interest free so I happilly paid it knowing that it would be worth it. As long as the neighborhood kitties stay off.
