I was born in Anchorage AK right before it became a state, not a territory (1949). My uncle, Frank Harris, owned a chain of cleaners back then and later became a Senator of AK. My dad relocated there (apart from us) and died there. I had an aunt there, also. I've always dreamed of going back to visit AK. I live in So. CA now, but spent most of my child & adult years in Portland OR area.
