This pretend play toy vendor cart is perfect for whatever your child dreams up of selling - lemonade, fresh picked wildflowers, cupcakes, mudpies.  Simple design is easy to build, free plans by Ana-white.com

What would your kiddos use this pretend play toy street vendor cart as?

My daughter said she'd sell Gourmet Cheeses ... didn't see that one coming!

I was more thinking cupcakes (adorable cupcake stand plans here), lemonade, mudpies, wildflowers, or snow cones.

Whatever your child dreams up, this little pretend play toy street vendor cart will make it all possible. It's a beautiful solid wood piece, that is easy to make out of 1x3 boards that you can customize to your heart's content.

We are so happy to bring you this new, free plan, as part the Handbuilt Holiday, and yearly traddition that Jaime from That's My Letter and I put on to get you new gift plans in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

It is an honor to do our part in helping you make more handcrafted gifts this season.  Please do share a photo or two if you build!

The free plans follow (if this is the homepage, click READ MORE below), but first, take a second to check out Jaime from That's My Letter's build post with lots more photos and details on how she sewed that awning.

Instructions

Step 1

Build the frames for top and bottom, and middle shelf.  I recommend using a Kreg Jig here on 3/4" setting, with 1-1/4" pocket hole screws to attach.

Step 2

Then add the legs to the frames with 1-1/4" screws from insides (yes, you can use Kreg screws here too to avoid buying more wood screws)

Step 3

The slats can be nailed and glued down unless you are using outdoors in wet weather that may cause the wood to swell, and pull the nails out - then use exterior grade wood screws, 1-1/4" to 2" length.

Step 4

Measure and cut the hande and attach either by drilling holes or screwing from outside.

Step 5

Step 6

Attach top to middle frame.  You can also use 1x3s as Jaime did.

Step 7

For the awning, attach to top with pocket holes on 3/4" setting.

Step 8

For awning sides, attach angled boards with glue and brad nails.
