Thank you, Ana!

How exciting to have a forum now!  I have been a fan of your site for a few months.  I am a single female who purchased a cosmetic fixer-upper about six months ago.  I am doing most of the work myself, except for big projects like deck-building and exterior painting...and I won't mess with electrical or plumbing.  I have no carpentry experience, but sawdust flows in my veins because my dad was a hobby carpenter (with a lovely Craftsman radial arm saw) and was extraordinarily clever at creating solutions and building storage.  LOL. I recently bought an old Craftsman radial arm saw (in good shape and very similar to Dad's!) at a thrift store.  Dad will be coming to visit soon and he'll show me how to use it.  He's also bringing his own chop saw, so we can work on projects together.  I'm so excited.  I have quite a list of things to do (favorite plans, and such)...once he gets here, I may never let him go back home.  Thank you for all you do to inspire us.  Single females do not often get the message that beautiful homes with lovely furnishings are within our reach unless we are wealthy.  But I am determined to prove it is possible and you are helping me more than you could know!
