help with recycling center plans please!

I'm wanting to use the Recycling center plans ( http://ana-white.com/2010/01/plans-recycling-center-pottery-barn.html ) to make something to hold our dog food on one side and recycling on the other...I see that in the plans you've noted that the cut list for the doors is wrong and they should be 17 3/4, do I need to change the cuts for the base of the slideout/tip out portion etc too or just the doors that size?

I took a look at the plans, and started to reply that I would cut them the same 17 3/4" as the door, but then the next photo has a notation about the drawer pull-out and that the edges will not be flush...so unless Ana (or anyone else) says to do otherwise, I would leave them at 17 1/4".
