I thought this would make a pretty easy plan. It is for a recessed hidden medicine cabinet but I can see using these all over the house not just the bathroom. They are charging $300 for these...crazy!
It's just a box with a picture frame attached for a door. Find a picture frame with a fairly thick wood frame. Build a box out of 1x4's about 1/2" narrower and shorter than the frame, with 1/4" plywood on the back. Take the picture frame and drill two 35mm holes for full overlay "euro" cabinet hinges. The hinges will have directions that will tell you how far in to drill. The 35mm drill-bit and jig are about $10 -$12. Attach the hinges to the picture and then to the box.
