I just want to cut some 2x4 pieces for crafts as well as some blocks, what tools do i need for this? what type of saw? I'm definitely not up to any of ana's creations, YeT! Just wanting to start simple for now!
any advice would be appreciated!

The best tool for cutting 2x4s into blocks would be a miter saw with about a 40-tooth blade. (compound miter saw is great)
It does great cuts straight across a board, time after time. It can also cut at angles for framing and molding trips.
