Hello! Does anyone have any suggestions for building a kitchen table using a chest of drawers as the base? We need a new table, but also need storage because of our small home and large family. I was thinking of buying an Ikea wood countertop (varde) as the top and using two small (3 drawer) chest of drawers (back-to-back) as the center base. How do I do this without it looking weird and making it stable at the same time? :)
Or any other suggestions for building a kitchen table that has storage options underneath. We homeschool, so I'm thinking of using this area for homeschool materials.

you just have to make sure there's enough clearance around the table and that there's enough support under the cabinet so that the tabletop doesn't fall over when someone leans on it as well as enough clearance underneath for your kids to sit comfortably without banging their knees into the cabinet.
