I would like to adapt one of the beds so that it can be expanded to hold a full sized futon mattress. The mattress can be folded up with the back on the wall. I need some way to expand the support base next to the twin bed. A pop-up trundle mattress frame will be too low. I am thinking of some kind of setup where the extra length slides out from under the mattress but it would need some strength to it and would need adequate support (fold down legs?). Still use a pop-up trundle but find some way to elevate the height further to match that of the twin bed??
Please, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
