I used one of your plans to build a shelf. The shelfs are adjustable. I loved working on it and it came out great except... on both sides (on the right side the problem is on the bottom portion and on the left side it is the top) the wood is uneven. Meaning where the frame is connected to the box the bottom of the frame sticks out a bit. If it were one piece of wood you could say it had a curve in it. Is it possible to sand the uneven pieces of wood to be flush? Or do I need to start over?

Love the site. Thanks so much.

I would give it a good sanding, perferably with an orbital sander, but you could get away with what ever you have. I would start with 100-120 grit then work up to 180 make sure you wipe off project with a tack cloth inbetween grits.
