Not necessarily a homemaker, but definitely increasing my skills as a DIY-er! I showed a picture of the sawhorse table to my wife, and she instantly fell in love with it as a dining room table. I'm currently working on the matching bench, and will be making the table if all goes as planned. I also showed her the patio table with the built in coolers (ice-filled planters), and she loves that as well. needless to say, I have my work cut out for me!
I'm from Ontario, Canada, and the only real woodworking experience I have currently is two bar stools that I made with Mortise and Tenon joints. Holding up well, but learned a few lessons as well (and took a good chunk out of my finger with a chisel...ALWAYS CLAMP YOUR WORK!!!)
I'm looking forward to getting input on a few projects along the way, and can't believe I didn't find this site sooner. The plans are so simple that just about anyone could follow them with decent, if not fantastic, results!
