My husband complains about moving my wood around, hehe!

Hi, I'm Rebecca (better known as Bec) and thanks to Ana, I am now a building junkie!

It started when my hubby and I bought a new (to us, but actually historic) house, and I needed new office furniture, and refused to pay PB prices. Thank goodness I found Ana's blog! It started with the Bedford desk bases (I am using an old door from our 1921 house for the top), and when I had to help my mom move into a new place, she got a storage daybed...

I had to take some building time off to work on the house, but I have learned to use SketchUp, built a custom bookcase for said office, have the project table in the works, as well as plans and wood for a custom stair/stepstool/storage thingy for the bedroom that only has a trunk closet (it is set high in the wall, and the room is tiny). Ana's recent plan post of the storage stepstool has simplified my plans, yay!

We had most of the tools that I needed already, but for my birthday in May I got a Kreg jig, and about a month ago my husband randomly bought me a miter saw stand and a nailer/compressor kit. He seems to like enabling me, but hates moving my wood around (to work on the house) as our new house doesn't have a workshop like our old one did! He also now has to help me relocate tools to and fro, as my new workspace is a tent in the side yard!
