Trying to build a workshop

I am very lucky that I have access to a jig saw, circle saw, & work horses via my father.  I have a compound miter saw, finish nailer, drill, & assorted clamps.  I think my next purchase should be a router (I've told my hubby it's what I want as an anniversary gift) then probably want a paint/stain sprayer.  Also, don't have a work surface.  Am happy to build one, but not really sure what it should look like...

Thoughts?  Would like input on both recommendations on the brands to buy as well as my priority list.  Am actually contemplating serious woodworking and learning joints etc....

As far as priority goes i think a nice work surface is priority number one. I am in the process of building one myself. I want to build it so my miter saw guide plate and work surface are at the same level.

I have a router but havent really used it for many of Ana's plans.

And as far as paint sprayers i am currently looking ing gettting a critter gun. Amazon has them for about 40 dollars. All the reviews seem great, and i love that the paint can be stored in mason jars. Such a simple design and in my opinion a great place to start.
