I am slowly building my son's playroom (thanks to the FABULOUS Ana).  I have a pretty big space that I need to fill and not sure which plan
"goes"   I am looking for storage.  This piece will go next to the Rocket Ship bookcase.   I dont know if I should makes something tall(like the bankable bookcases) or something shorter.  Any thoughts on what would look good??  Thanks in advance for your help.  I find I am much better at building than designing.

For maximum storage, fill one or more blank walls with shelves - lockers, cubbies, bookcases ... whatever.  Use the high spots for things he doesn't use (maybe even your storage) in tidy boxes or bins.  Everything below 4 feet or so would be "his". Paint the bulk storage tghe same color as the walls to make is less obvious.

Put in one daybed, comfy chair, or well-padded bench as a reading area. A window seat bench with bookcases on either side would be awesome!

For his favorite toys, and maybe a play area, put the rocket bookcase on a shorter wall with space around it for playing.

One craft table, or the train table, and a couple of benches takes care of the seating.

Thank you so much for your ideas.  I think you totally hit the nail on the head by saying I need to move the rocket bookcase to a smaller wall.   I have already built the strattford day bed and that is fantastic for storage(and him to jump on).  I also already built Clares table and a bench that I will put in there.  Since they are kind of shorter.,,I am thinking of making land of nod bankable bookcases nice and tall and fill em up like you suggested.   Thanks so much.  I have been struggling with the look of the room.
