I have a nice futon mattress, and I would love to build a nice futon to go with it and to replace the ugly metal one I currently have. I found this one http://www.woodstore.net/futon.html that I really like. I can build it with these plans, but that will take me awhile. I'd love to see something similar (similar in it's lines and simplicity) to this in an easier to build version if it's possible.

I would like to second the motion for a need for a futon frame! I (and several of my friends) bought cheaper futon frames when we were in college or in our first apartments. Now, those frames are just about shot! It would be great to have some plans for a simple mission-style futon - I've already got a spot picked out for one in my craft room and futons are great to have on hand for guests.
