If I am building furniture for outside use, say a chair for example, do I need to use pressure treated if I plan on painting it?
I'm just getting started with building so I want to make sure I am doing it right the first time and not find out the hard way.

Outside furniture
You don't need to use pressure treated wood if you'll be painting it or if you'll be sealing it with some kind of deck sealer.
