I've extolled the virtues of Hand Tool Essentials here before, and that's one of the books at 40% discount. If you're going to buy one woodworking book, this is the one I recommend. Lots of good basic instruction on using common hand tools, plus some good advice on improving the accuracy of your work.
I grabbed the Simply Built Double Pack, which is a book about designing common items with am emphasis on keeping things simple. It's right in line with the designs that Ana shows here, so it seemed like a natural.
