You can make a simple doll high chair that will delight your little one.
Thank you everyone for sharing your amazing photos of doll furniture on our Facebook Page and in our Photo Galleries. I'm so stunned at what you Santas are doing this Christmas in your wood shops! Just wanted to add one more plan to the doll furniture collection. I know Christmas is just days away, but if your shop is already set up, you still have time to make this one.
And I bet you have the scraps laying around to make at least part of this one. It's mostly 1x2s, with a 1x8 piece and a 1x4 piece, each only 9" long. My daughter helped me build this one, and she asked, Mom, please, can I keep this one? So we pulled the high chair up to the Birthday table, and put Grace's favorite doll in it.
As I looked through the photos from the party afterwards, it occurred to me that what we do isn't just about building toys or doll furniture or tables or benches or picture ledges or even houses (all things that we built in the photo above), but we are building moments. We are building memories. We are building happiness. Certainly, a birthday party is just fine without making everything, but it is my hope that someday my daughter will say, I remember when I was little, one time, my mom had a birthday for me and she even built special tables and benches and even a high chair for my baby doll. And it won't be about the table or the benches or the high chair, but rather, about her mother putting in the extra effort on her special day. No one has the time or the money to do these things all the time, but when we can, I do try.
One thing Grace was NOT happy about was me borrowing her paper doll dresses and putting them in frames.

Preparation
2 – 1×2, 8 feet long
1 – 1×4 10 1/2″ long
1 – 1×8 9″ lon

Thank you, thank you, thank you Ana. I have been asking for this plan (very discreetly in my posts of all the other doll furniture) so I was so excited to see it posted! I will have to bundle up, the garage is very cold now so it makes building not so fun, but I'm off to make it and will share when I'm done. Thank you again, you are priceless!

Guess what Emmy is getting
Guess what Emmy is getting for Valentine's Day...if she doesn't get one from someone else for Christmas. The baby doll bed is done. Just need to make the doll quilt. I'm going to do it with leftover material from her 1st birthday quilt I made this summer, my first ever quilt. And I just need to put a quick coat of poly on the front of the toddler easel and we are ready to assemble it. It has been so much fun making presents this year. People think it is amazing when they find out. I'm going to start thinking about what to make for next year as soon as Christmas was over. Building day was 53 degrees in the workshop with 3 kerosone heaters going for four hours before we started. Sanding the filler I did without the heaters and I thought my hands were going to fall off. December isn't usually that cold here, but I think next year all building projects need to be done by Thanksgiving. I need to keep my fingers :) Thanks, Ana & Merry Christmas!

This is great! When I saw the restaurant style high chair I actually said "I wish I could find plans for a doll high chair!" I am so happy and more importantly I bought some wood just in case I needed it:) Do you have the plans for that table and benches? I would love those too. What an amazing birthday party! I love the pretty dresses! That is a great idea for the empty wall space above my little girls dress up area. Thanks Ana!
