Outdoor Loveseat & Table
Tired of cheap store bought chair getting blown around in the Texas winds. If these piece get blown off the patio I’ll be looking for the Wizard of Oz.

I used 8 ft precut boards for shelves and modified the design so there was enough room for two racks on each side. In addition I screwed 1x4 to the studs to secure the shelving to the wall. I have a 5 year old climber so it was best to be proactive and secure it. It was easy project took about 4 hours to complete. I plan to paint the vertical boards a medium gray and stain the shelves a dark coffee color.
I found the plans on the website last year but we never got around to building it. So this year it was first on the list!! I wanted a large enclosed garden because we had a hard time keeping our dogs out of our last boxed garden. I followed the plans pretty closely, making minor changes to give us more room for planting.
I did not use the corner wood pieces for bracing because I did not like how they looked. Instead I used brackets made for decks that I can't see from the outside of the garden. I also made a custom gate to mimic the custom railings I had made for our deck. Added brackets to the outside for hanging baskets. Still needs to be stained and sealed. Hoping to get that done next week.
Note: I bought 22 2cubic feet bags of Miracle Grow Flower and Vegetable soil to fill the garden boxes.
Approximate costs were around $180.00 for wood/stain/gate hardware, netting and deck screws.
Approximate costs for the soil was $140.00.
I hope
What a fun project, and great bench. We had someone ask us if we could make this for them, and we decided to make 2 while we were at it.....now we just need to find a spot big enough for the second one at our house. Loved this build, and look forward to sipping coffee on it on a cool morming.
We combined several ideas to create this built in mud room bench. I searched high and low for the design I wanted and loved Ana's hidden storage. It's perfect for off season stuff that would otherwise take up space in a closet. It's such a pretty, functional space that gets so much use.
We used an unfinished attic space above our garage that was connected to our bedroom to make a walk-in closet with great shelving. This project took a lot of time but we are so happy with the results! There is a side for my husband and a side for me. Although it is hard to see we also incorporated a small door/bookshelf into the room to allow us access to attic storage space.
First cabinet in my kitchen remodel.
We too you’re 2x4 shelving unit with some small tweaking of measurements and added a barn door!
We made our sectional higher off of the ground than the original plan by replacing the single 2x4 base with stacked 2x6s, stained it black and used cushions from Target that we managed to get at 50% off. It fits beautifully in our screen porch and has made what was a waste of space into an outdoor living room. Thanks for the great plans!

Thank you for bragging! I am so excited to see your sectional and love the added height! Glad you found the plans useful! Ana

I love what you did with the plan. When we do our Pergola on our patio - we are going to change to this type of furniture or a new farm house table. I love the paint color ideas and the adjustments all for such a great price! Great job!

I made a window seat, it was fun. It has these 27 Inch soft close drawers , a custom extended vent, and an outlet port with usb on the right end. It was fun thank you (and my wife loves it! (Still waiting for our seat pad for it)

Made a 4 foot version of the farmhouse bench. I also used 4x4s for the legs instead of 2x4s. They work great, just makes the bench a little heavy.
My husband built this bed for our 4 year old son and let me say its just perfect! His room is on the smaller side and this made a huge difference for him to have more play room. When my son seen it his eyes filled up with tears he was so excited! My husband built this bed on a Sunday afternoon. He torched the wood along the grain, and then over a period of a week added clear (he used 3 coats as the wood just soaked it up pretty good ). Highly reccomend this project!
Loved making this. Used old sun curtains and a sheet for extra splendor.

This is beautiful! Thank you for sending in a brag post, we very much appreciate it!
This build was so simple and fun to make. Just like Ana stated in her video, it really only took me an hour to build. I plan to do many more projects that I find on Ana's website. This project still has a little bit more work to do like staining and sealing but will finish that on another day real soon.
My new garden shed built from your premium plans! I'm 62, never built a shed before, and worked mostly alone. My sons helped with some of the wall and roof sheathing. In the end, I did everything except for the shingling. I painted it to match my house main color and trim.
The video is very helpful - I watched it several times. My major change to the plans was using Simpson Strong Ties and hurricane ties to secure the rafters to the ridge pole and the top plates. Otherwise, I used all other methods. I recommend cutting the front wall sheathing before cutting the panels for the doors. I do not have a trim saw and thought my standard circular saw was too heavy for me to make the cuts like Jacob did.

My washer will shake on the metal pedestals. Will it shake on this one?

We started using the plans from the site while modifying some dimensions to best fit our space. To reduce the guesswork in aligning the drawers and drilling the dowel holes, we routered a slot in the side of the drawer (shown in the pictures) then drilled a 1/2'' hole in the inside of the frame to insert the dowel. Doing this allows us to easily insert and remove the drawers for adjustment or cleaning.
We attached nylon straps to the bottom of the bin to hide them and used some hardwood plywood to completely cover the back.

I like your idea with the dowels. I want to do the same but I thought the dowels would need to be closer to the front corner for the doors to open properly. Do you find your doors open ok?
I love the look of a nicely organized closet, but after moving into new house where closets weren't as big, organization became an issue. I love the look of this plan. The modifications I made were making it nice and tall and still fitting a full shelf in at the very top. Also, I didn't want to have to worry about redoing bars when my daughter had adult sized hangers and clothes, so I made sure that my clothes would fit in the top and bottom levels. I love how it turned out. Now to make over all the other closets in the house...
The Custom Built-ins started out with lots of research, and like many DIY project we looked to Pinterest and Houzz for inspiration. A lot of love and time went into this project. I can't stress enough how important research is. This process is often over looked because DIYers just want to get to the building process as quickly as possible, but trust me when I say doing solid research will save you a lot of stress and time when it comes to building.
I built the same bed as for my son for the master bedroom. A queen size bed with storage with paneled footboard and headboard. I love that style and I made board and batten too.
I am very happy and the bed is very sturdy. I didnt make drawers because it's too difficult for me. I am not ready to build drawers! Maybe next time!

I share your fear of drawers! It still looks great with cubbies :)

I love this bed but I am wondering since there is no edge if you have any issue with your mattress sliding side to side?
